麦子：60 年代LC发明的。MARC (MAchine-ReadableCataloging) standards are a set of digital formats for the descriptionof items catalogued by libraries, such as books. It was developed byHenriette Avram[1] at the US Library of Congress during the 1960s to createrecords that can be used by computers, and to share those records amonglibraries.

素问： 图书馆一般用的是统一编目数据吗？
麦子：这是编目员自行选择。美国用的是 MARC21，和国内是另一个体系。
